Pork Apple Burgers with Zesty Burger Sauce, Sharp Cheddar & Smokey Sweet Potato Wedges

  • 4 oz
    seasoned breadcrumbs

    brioche buns (2)
  • 4 oz
    sliced sharp cheddar
  • 4 oz
    Zesty burger sauce
  • 2 oz
    arugula
  • 1 oz
    pickled gherkins
  • 1 oz
    smokey house blend

INSTRUCTIONS

Prep

Preheat the oven to 450°F;

Cut sweet potatoes lengthwise into ½-inch-wide wedges;

Cut apple into half, core, & grate

Spread garlic & herb butter on cut side of each bun & set aside.

1 Roast Sweet Potatoes

Place potato wedges on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil & season with smokey house blend; toss to coat. Arrange in a single, even layer. Roast 20-25 minutes, or until browned & tender when pierced with a fork. 

2Make Burgers

In a large bowl place ground pork, grated apples, garlic & Zesty house blend, breadcrumbs & a pinch of salt & pepper & mix well. Form the burgers in to one pattie per serving. 

3 Cook Burgers

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over a medium-high heat & then add the burgers. Cook for 6-7 minutes each side, until they are cooked through & no longer pink inside. Once the burgers are cooked, remove onto a plate, place cheese slices on top & let melt. Cover with aluminum foil to keep warm & set aside.

4Toast Buns

Place in clean skillet & toast over medium high heat until lightly browned checking frequently so as not to burn.

5To Serve

Place burger on the bottom bun. Top with burger sauce & arugula & gherkins & serve with roasted wedges & any extra sauce. Enjoy!
